Chapter 48

If Randy could only give three words of advice, they would be "Tell the Truth." If he got three more words they would be "all the time"

Describe when telling the truth paid off for you. or describe a time when it would have payed off if you would have told the truth.

Well i didn't tell my parents about my boyfriend of soon to be four months until last month and they almost didn't let me be with him if i would've told them about him as soon as he asked me out i might be able to go out on dates and hangout with him out of school and such. its really all my fault and now we get to see each other less than we could've. honestly things definetly could be alot better right now but all things heal with time. so i can only hope for the best.

Chapter 47

when giving a apology, any performance lower than an A really doesent cut it. Its as if there is a infection in our relationship. A good apology is like a antiobiotic; a bad apology is like rubbing salt in the wound.

write a apology to someone that youve offended. follow Randys 3-step plan;
tell what you did and say that it was wrong.
2.say how you fell that it hurt him/her.
3.  Ask how you can make it berrer.

In sixth grade i was really mean to this kid Brian Castillo i said something really mean so my appology would probably start something like this, I am beyond sorry for what i said it was selfish and rude and i will do whatever it takes to make it up to you i hope you can forgive me.

Chapter 46

Randy tells his students, "When you go into the wilderness, the only thing you can count on is what you take with you." The wilderness is any place besides your home, workplace or school. So be prepared.

A. What situation have you faced for which you were not prepared? What were the consequences?

B. Now imagine not being prepared for your classes at school. What might be the consequences, both short-term and long-term?

A.) well i spent the night with my friend after going to the beach with her and  it was last minute so all i had was my hair brush my tooth brush and a sports bra and thats all i had in my purse except 50 bucks which was cool because i had to go to the store in my bikini to buy an outfit.

B.)Not being prepared for classes at school causes bad grades in all.

Chapter 43

Some people can be thanked in tangible ways; Randy took his entire research team to Disney World after they helped him get tenure. Other people are harder to thank; Andy van Dam, Randy's mentor, changed his life. Since there was no way Randy could pay him back, he's trying to "pay it forward" by mentoring his own students.

What has someone done for you that you could "pay it forward?" Create a 21-step plan for doing it.

Hmmm i've never thought about it but my daddy gave the guy i am completely in love with a chance and i would do anything to show him how totally greatful i am!! i love josh so much, he's my everything.

Chapter 43

Randy was granted tenure a year earlier than people usually do. A lot of people want a shortcut to the good things in life. Randy's "shortcut" in two words: hard work.

I could be working harder at Spanish. Here is a 3 step plan for doing it.

1.) Study hard
2.) Do my homework
3.) pay attention in class
